The Ugly Pony Champions Pool League is a competitive yet fun 8-ball pool league hosted at the Ugly Pony Saloon in Ault, CO. Open to players of all skill levels, the league runs from March to July 2025, culminating in the Championship Tournament on August 9-10, 2025.
Monthly Shootouts occur four times per month—twice on Thursday nights and twice on Saturday afternoons. Players earn Experience Points (XP) for participation and performance, with the Top 10 players at the end of July qualifying for the Championship Tournament. The ultimate winner claims a $1,000 prize and the exclusive Ugly Pony Champions Jacket.
How It Works:
✅ Shootouts: $10 entry per event, no green fees
✅ Format: Double elimination, individual 8-ball matches
✅ Final Shootout: A Losers' Bracket finalist must defeat the Winners' Bracket finalist TWICE to win the shootout.
Points System (XP):
🎯 1 XP per round played
🏆 10 XP for 1st place
🥈 7 XP for 2nd place
🥉 4 XP for 3rd place
🔟 Top 10 players by July qualify for the Championship Tournament
